Me! To A "T"!
Books, books books. The crunch of a new spine, the smell of an untouched page, the call of an unread book....
I'm in love with books both in print and digital! They are all over my house, in my car, at my job - infiltrating my very being. Please read on to learn more about me. I've included my past, present and future. I'm in love with my job as a librarian!
Visit me on Goodreads! I try to record all of my reading both adult and children's on there as best as I can. From 2009-2012 I was on the Rebecca Caudill committee to help narrow down the students' nominations into a list the final list of 20. Basically, I was living my dream! Can you imagine being in the same room with 75 people who have all read the same 50 books?? And then debate all day long about which were the best 20?? Absolutely, fabulous! Currently, I'm on a break from the committee as you can only serve for three years in a row. I'm hoping to dive back into the commitment soon.
I've been teaching since 1996. I like a good challenge. I like a good change. So, I'm delving into the library part of education. The classes that I have been taking for my endorsement are like a breath of fresh air - actually, just what I needed professionally, even if they are a ton of work! The ideas I've acquired in the last two years are more than I've acquired in the last six years of teaching!
